The New Air Guns
I’ve come to realize lately that, for those who are preparing for the worst, there is one important thing that must not be left out of our arsenals – the air gun. They’ve come a long way from the Red Rider BB gun from that old movie. These things are lethal.
Okay, here’s a disclaimer before you read this part. Never, never, NEVER try this at home! Know too that I, as well as most of my buddies, were blessed by God to have survived (the ones of us who did) into our adulthood, to preach to our own children about what THEY should never do. The air guns from my past would fling a BB or a pellet at the sizzling speed of 300 – 400 fps. I can remember my friends and I actually shooting the things at each other in a game of “combat” on the hill behind the feed mill. It was probably the precursor (for idiot kids) of the paintball games. Our rule was chest and legs – no head or lower abdomen shots. Stupid, huh? You’ve got to understand, these were the dangerous games of bored little red necks. Outside of a few good strawberries and welts, though, we never sustained serious injuries – by the Grace of God!
I revealed my own past stupidity to say this: The new air guns are incredibly powerful! You can get an air rifle that
flings a .177 pellet at 1400 fps for less than $150! In this age, when guns and ammo are so costly, this is good news for those who are preparing for the worst.
With firearms, unless you know how to reload your own rounds, or make your own bolts and arrows for archery, you have to replenish supplies. Even if you reload, you must buy supplies, unless you know how to put black powder together, etc. Air guns allow you to put food on the table without taking firearm ammo from your inventory. The store bought pellets are very inexpensive, but you can also make your own lead pellets. And these guns are perfect for plinking and small game hunting.
Air gun manufacturers like Ruger, Gamo and Benjamin all have spring-powered models that have a velocity of 1250 – 1400 fps if you use the PBA® Platinum Ammo. Normal lead and mushroom pellets lessen the velocity to around 1000 fps – which is still very respectable!
My own choice is a spring break barrel air rifle. While it is noisier than the gas powered models, you wouldn’t have to buy more cylinders of gas. The mechanical parts would wear over time, so keeping spare parts would be wise.

Man, have the guys that are crazy over Obama gone loco! I thought Chris Matthews had way too big a man crush on Barry, and all he had was a feeling up his leg! But one Adam Eugene Cox of Tennessee is allegedly willing to shoot the good Sheriff Arpaio full of a thousand holes to prove his love for his man, Barack Hussein Obama!
I seriously don’t think that this pathetic twink (no, I’m referring to Cox, not Obama) would stand a chance of getting that close to Sheriff Joe.
I noticed something pretty strange about this particular left wing nut. If you were to shave his head and face, and ask him to give you his best Uncle Fester smile, he’d morph perfectly into Jared Lee Loughner, the crazy lefty who shot U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords, killed six people and wounded 14 others.
Remember, just after the Gabrielle Giffords shooting, how Barrack Hussein Obama asked us to have a more civil discourse, in order to take away the violent edge in politics? He mistakenly aimed that at the Right, while pretending to be speaking to everyone. It seems to me that those on the left need the anger management therapy!
Folks there’s a good reason that progressive and pathetic both start with a “p”.

A “fanatical supporter” of President Barack Obama has been taken into custody and is now the prime suspect in the Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio death threat investigation. The diligent team at 550KFYI alerted The Blaze that 33-year-old Adam Eugene Cox was arrested in Tennessee Friday on an unrelated warrant for assault. Cox said he planned to brutally slay Arpaio and his family, vowing the Sheriff ”will be filled with a thousand bullet holes before the year is out.”

The Maricopa County Sheriff‘s Office said the suspect’s postings indicate he is a fervent Obama supporter and that Arpaio‘s ongoing investigation into the legitimacy of the president’s birth certificate may have been the catalyst behind the death threat.

Bev Perdue Won’t Run Again For NC Governor
It’s cause for celebration here in North Carolina, as Bev Perdue D-Hell (the one who was all for suspending elections recently) has announced that she will NOT seek re-election! If only that would happen with the incumbent “President” of the US, the celebration could be nationwide!
It’s not as if, however, there was any danger she might be re-elected anyway. With a 32% approval rating, opposed to a 51% disapproval rating, it’s easy to understand just that. She trails former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory in the polls badly, even though McCrory has not yet entered the race.
Perdue’s 2008 campaign came under investigation for campaign donation violations, some in the form of flights donated. Peter Reichard, her 2008 campaign fundraising chairman, was indicted a few weeks ago for funneling illegal campaign donations through his merchant banking firm to hide payments made. Reichard recently entered an Alford plea – one that concedes enough evidence for a conviction, but stops short of admitting guilt.

She vetoed an unprecedented 15 pieces of legislation, including the state budget, plus measures adding restrictions on abortion, requirements that voters produce identification, and restrictions on the use of racial bias evidence to challenge death sentences.
Perdue served previously as lieutenant governor. She began her political career in the 1980s, first as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives and then spending five terms in the state Senate.
Perdue’s weakness as an incumbent had already prompted talk by Democratic state Representative Bill Faison of a possible primary challenge. Bill Cosby Has It Right On Education!
I can remember the gift my parents gave me on the birth of my first son – Bill Cosby’s “Fatherhood”. It was so true to life! I have always loved the man and the way he tells it like it is.
Bill has a deep down common sense for dealing with and relating to life’s situations and bringing humor in to aid in the “digestion” of life’s lessons. His morality shines as does his inability to make excuses for himself and everyone else. He has an uncanny ability to see things as they are.
Bill Cosby believes, as I and many others believe, that throwing money money at education is not the answer. The REAL answer to the problems begins in the home, with parental involvement, NOT the involvement of government!
Schools have become places for parents to drop their kids off for the day and then expect one teacher to successfully educate 30 individuals each day. That formula could never work, without a strong foundation and support at home.

Does Eric The Cagey AG Suffer From Nervous Diarrhea And Sleep Loss?
You know how things sometimes come back to bite you later? Some people call it karma. Remember how little Eric Holder and his frail friend Barry told Arizona Governor Janice Brewer that only the feds can enforce federal law and that her state should stay out of it? Remember when they sued Arizona? I think I remember the race card being flipped in there maybe once or twice, too.
Well, doggone it, that may just come back to bite them in their skinny little hineys! And the two really-scary-black-panther-tough-guy-wannabes that Eric Holder forgave for voter intimidation because they were of his own race won’t be able to help him!
Now it looks as though Arizona will investigate whether our dynamic duo (in figure skating, maybe) and their associates have violated Arizona state law with Fast & Furious. I think Eric may be losing a little sleep over all this – why else would such a slight little man shake his finger in grown men’s faces when they question him about any of it? I know Barry’s losing sleep. He can’t seem to stay awake during the Jobs Initiative meetings.
I believe that the “President” should take a look at how the timing of this potential “get even butt-kicking” could damage his re-election bid (even worse than his awful record has) and join the ranks of those in Congress calling for Eric Holder’s resignation!

SCOTUS Makes Unanimous Decision Founded In The Constitution?
The Supreme Court has decided unanimously that law enforcement must have a search warrant before tracking a criminal suspect with GPS technology. I would be PROUD of each and every one of them, even Elena Kagan and surprised that they all fell in line with the Fourth Amendment on illegal search and seizure. Except that I realize this decision indicates that they’ve got it all wrong on searches (molestation) by TSA agents at airports.
Why is it wrong for law enforcement to track a suspect by planting a GPS device, but it’s fine for TSA agents to grope children and their grandmothers in public and photograph their naked bodies??!! Something’s messed up here! Are they telling me that my car trunk is a Constitutionally protected area, but my child’s crotch is NOT? Are our grandmothers’ incontinence diapers not Constitutionally protected areas? HUH?
You can bet your bottom dollar that the suspect whose vehicle was surreptitiously equipped with a GPS device was more than likely profiled by law enforcement officers earlier to BECOME that suspect. You won’t find profiling by TSA agents, though. It’s much more politically correct to allow those that look and act like mirror images of previous bombers and terrorists to pass through without being touched and then to grab your eight year old daughter to prove to the world how “fair” we are. What a pathetic, unconstitutional, cowardly and fruitless waste of our time and protection, as well as their effort!

Look at the times recently that the TSA has allowed someone carrying a weapon to get through security, i.e. the Marine, as well as radicals who disrupt flights and must be detained later, after terrifying the innocent passengers. The TSA is missing all the people carrying crotch bombs, guns and other devices, but they’re catching and detaining all the innocent passengers with cupcakes, shampoo and soiled diapers! What an effective security program! Janet Napolitano and SCOTUS must be PROUD!!
John Boehner and Eric Cantor Hedge On Holder Resignation
Maybe they need to keep Eric Holder in his position as AG to continue the investigation and have him stand trial. Or maybe they’re ignoring the electorate. If the latter is the case, then we need to fire them for business as usual. If they are stalling for all the wrong reasons, then I’m not surprised – at least in the case of Speaker of the House John Boehner. But I am a little surprised if that’s the case for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor!
I was ready for Eric Holder, the racist Attorney General, to resign when he dropped the case against the two Black Panther twinkies who stood outside of the voting booth during the 2008 Presidential election and threatened voters with batons – as if ACORN needed any help to fraudulently push Barack Hussein Obama through the process.
Holder is most lately in trouble for his knowledge of and participation in (or lack thereof) Fast and Furious, in which over 300 Mexicans and Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry were killed with trafficked weapons. He claims he knew nothing about it. Therefore, whether he is a pathetic, spineless liar and DID have such knowledge, or, on the other hand, didn’t have such knowledge and should resign for his ineptitude and lack of knowledge about the happenings in his department – he should be tossed out and perp-walked!
He has even gone so far as to characterize those who question his knowledge of Fast and Furious as racists. Yes, folks, ANOTHER race-card playing race baiter in this administration! You know what? The public-at-large ain’t buying the fake race card junk anymore. And race haters like Eric Holder are spoiling it for the victims of true racism.

…89 congressmen have signed a House resolution of “no confidence” in Holder as the nation’s top law enforcement officer. Between the two lists, which don’t perfectly overlap, 101 members of the House have “no confidence” in Holder, believe he should resign or both.
Though that number — 101 Congressmen — is nearly half of the 242-member Republican caucus in the House, and the surge continues to grow, the press secretaries for Boehner and Cantor refused to answer the question.
Boehner spokesman Michael Steel has ignored emails on the subject for months, but when TheDC caught up with him at the retreat and again asked if his boss thinks Holder should resign for the gunrunning operation that killed U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and at least 300 Mexican civilians, Steel replied, “I don’t think he has said anything on that.”
TheDC followed up with Steel in the lobby of the Waterfront Marriott and asked him if he’d just ask Boehner the question. “Yeah, maybe,” Steel replied.
As of 5 p.m. on Sunday, Steel still hasn’t answered whether Boehner agrees with the 101 members in the House GOP caucus about Holder. Instead, Steel said, “The speaker appreciates the hard work that Chairman Issa and many others have done to expose this scandal. Go Ahead – Make Fun Of Preppers!
Ever heard someone tell you to “prepare for the worst”? That’s what many Americans are doing now. When you take into consideration where we were three years ago and where we sit right now, what’s so crazy about being a “prepper”?
If you ask me, I think the crazy ones are those who don’t prepare at all! Just because one prepares for the worst doesn’t mean it will happen, although every day seems to make the fall of our country as we know it seem to be more a reality.
Think about where the dollar is today, and then think about what it might take to cause it to crash. Not so far-fetched, huh? After passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, NDAA, is it so far from reality that Obee Wanna Dictobee might authorize the military to pick some of us up, without due process, and toss us into one of those mythical FEMA camps? I’ll tell you right now, I’d rather exist in the “fringe” than in a FEMA camp!
Learning to hunt, raise and grow your own food should be on everyone’s agenda, prepper or not! Each and every phase of training to be prepared would be positive training, even for those who don’t consider themselves to be part of the “fringe”. For instance, how could learning how to use firearms and to do so safely possibly be a bad thing??!!

Tegeler is among a growing subculture of Americans who refer to themselves informally as “preppers.” Some are driven by a fear of imminent societal collapse, others are worried about terrorism, and many have a vague concern that an escalating series of natural disasters is leading to some type of environmental cataclysm.
They are following in the footsteps of hippies in the 1960s who set up communes to separate themselves from what they saw as a materialistic society, and the survivalists in the 1990s who were hoping to escape the dictates of what they perceived as an increasingly secular and oppressive government.
