Newsweek Cover: ‘Hit The Road, Barack!’
A lot of good (depending on your point of view) things are happening fast now. It’s almost like pulling that loose thread out of your worn and worthless sock. Keep pulling and the whole thing unravels.
What exactly was the catalyst? Was it the introduction of Paul Ryan as the VP on the GOP ticket? Perhaps. Now things are even looking bleak in Illinois for Barry. Was it the things that Biden said lately? Perhaps. Could it be the unrest and negativity lately within the Obama Organization? Perhaps.
Nothing seems to be going Barry’s way the last few days. Even with the recent gaffes in the GOP campaign and the seemingly devastating Todd Akin “legitimate rape” comments – nothing seems to give Barry the bump he needs. To the contrary – it’s coming apart at the seams. His people are even having to lie and make excuses about why he can no longer draw a respectable crowd!
Even the King’s media and press seem to be turning. Think about all of the anti-conservative and pro-Obama covers left-leaning Newsweek Magazine has churned out in its history – especially lately. The latest cover is truly a shocker! The cover story – ‘Hit The Road, Barack – Why We Need a New President’. Whoooaa!!
Niall Ferguson wrote that story. Here are some excerpts:
I was a good loser four years ago. “In the grand scheme of history,” I wrote the day after Barack Obama’s election as president, “four decades is not an especially long time. Yet in that brief period America has gone from the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. to the apotheosis of Barack Obama. You would not be human if you failed to acknowledge this as a cause for great rejoicing.”
Then he cites a list of failures and unfulfilled promises by the “President” once considered by some as the “Messiah”:
Unemployment was supposed to be 6 percent by now. It has averaged 8.2 percent this year so far. Meanwhile real median annual household income has dropped more than 5 percent since June 2009. Nearly 110 million individuals received a welfare benefit in 2011, mostly Medicaid or food stamps.
Welcome to Obama’s America: nearly half the population is not represented on a taxable return—almost exactly the same proportion that lives in a household where at least one member receives some type of government benefit. We are becoming the 50–50 nation—half of us paying the taxes, the other half receiving the benefits.
The only thing I might personally add is, “Don’t let the door hit you in that boney little Marxist butt!”
